Past and Present: History, Tradition, Culture

The Memorial Day "Past and Present: History, Tradition, Culture", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the destruction of the Ghetto in the Krasnoe village, was held on April, 29.

Within the framework of the event, mourning ceremony was held near the memorial to the Holocaust victims. Informative and index stand was opened, and improvised market square was organized.
There was also a cultural and educational meeting "The world of memory, the world of heart, the world of soul ...".

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities Mr. Vladimir Chernitsky, the representative of the UBJOC Board Mr. Vladimir Frenkel, the former prisoner of the Ghetto in Krasnoe Mr. Semen Gringauz, the consultant of the Leonid Levin Historical Workshop Mr. Kuzma Kozak.

The Memorial Day was soulful and sincere. This Day made a mark in our hearts.

The Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities expresses gratitude to the organizers of the event for their contribution and sense of involvement, as well as to the students of the secondary school in Krasnoe for the presentation of the life and tragedy stories of the Jewish community in Krasnoe village.
