It is time for commemoration

Dear friends!
On the July, 23 and 24 the monuments in memory of the victims of the Holocaust were officially opened in the Malyatichy village and in Rudensk.
These events became special for the Jewish community of Belarus.
The representatives of the Lazarus Foundation from the United Kingdom and the United States attended the mourning events. Thanks to the support of Lazarus and Kletter families the project "Holocaust remembrance" is being implemented in the Republic of Belarus.
The ceremony in Rudensk was also attended by the representatives of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Belarus: The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Alon Shogam, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Peter Dettmar, Chargé d'affaires of the United States of America in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Robert John Riley.
The representatives of the local administrations in Krichevsky and Pukhovichi districts expressed their deepest gratitude to the Union of the Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities, as well as to all those, who are involved in the implementation of the memorial project.
For us it was a great honor to listen to the memories of the beholders of the tragedy that happened during the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War.
The memorial prayers were said by the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Religious Association of Belarus Mordechai Raiсhinstein, as well as by the Chief Rabbi of the Religious Association of Communities of Progressive Judaism in Belarus Grigory Abramovich.
We also express gratitude to the representatives of the civil society, who attended the funeral rallies on July, 23 and 24.
At the moment we errected 99 memorials on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The Union of the Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities, in close cooperation with the Lazarus and Kletter families, will continue the work on the commemoration of the memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

The memory of the victims of Nazism must live forever.
